Wasn't really a conversation, but Shane came up with the original game, and we both worked on developing it for a few weeks until we had a great game mechanic. Then Matt came on board and it was one of those chocolate/peanut butter moments.

When we were playing the original version of the game, instead of a kitten there was a bomb card, so the whole time we played everyone was stressing and worrying about "the bomb." I thought it'd be funnier to make the bomb a kitten instead, that way you wind up with a room full of people all living in fear of a kitten.

Plus it's right in the nexus of funny and horrible, which is my favorite place to be.

Kickstarter backer here. What amount of money did you expect to get for Exploding Kittens before launch? For Matt, mantis shrimp, japanese giant hornets, or the red velvet mite? Congrats on the success, you still have 90 minutes to go before the campaign ends, are certainly the…

Even though its eyes don't work in the way that I wrote they did -- back in 2012 it was still thought that a mantis shrimp could see a "thermonuclear bomb of light and beauty." That's since been disproven, but now their eyes have been shown to detect cancer cells.

All hail the mantis shrimp.

Hi reddit, The Oatmeal here. proof.

Should I make a KickStarter for this? What would need to be done? Buy the land? Build a museum on it? What's feasible and what is not?

Also, I know a guy in Colorado Springs who has a ton of Tesla stuff, and does a kind of traveling Tesla show. He might be able to contribute some of his coils, artifacts, documents, and expertise.
