Hey I always wondered, why does you comic always have at least one person with glasses, or one ginger, in every strip?

u/MrWeiner replied

I often put big glasses on people who I want to seem less emotional. As for gingers, we are an under-represented minority, and our time will come.

On “Asteroid Harvesting”

"Dear Mr Weiner. I am writing today because of your recent comic 3741, and its gaping plot holes. In any reckoning of astronomical physics, it would be impossible to bring an asteroid "to a soft landing" on a large gravitational body like Earth. Once it was close enough to be…

Yeah, in my original script, he cut off chunks to send home, but it was kinda clunky. Probably should've kept it clunky :)

On “The Cycle”

I like it. I'd up the ante to a human baby, but that might be going a bit too far. Sort of turns Superman's protection into a Faustian bargain.

What is this growing like carpet in my lawn

This is a rectangular patch of my lawn which I had tilled levelled and reseeded roughly a month back. Now I am seeing these growing like carpet on this patch interspersed with thin blade grass. Not sure what these are? Why are they growing in such an even manner that seems like…

Lamb's Quarters. One of the tastiest wild greens. Let it get a little big, fill a basket with leaves. Wash them, then drop them in boiling water for a few minutes to get the bitterness out. Drain, squeeze out the water, and now you basically have a loaf of some of the best greens. Personally, I like to make a version of creamed spinach with them.

Only issue is that the stems are pretty tough when they get tall, and if you mow they are very unpleasant to step on. If you don't want that, you'd better kill them.
