And last week showed how quickly things are accelerating. - We raised $2B at a $48B valuation, led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel. - We launched SWE-2, our new model that matches GPT-5.6 Sol and Fable 5.1 at 64% lower cost, and lands within a few points of GPT-6 Astra at 25% of the cost. - We launched Devin Fusion in the IDE and CLI, pairing a frontier lead model with SWE-2 to plan, delegate, implement, test, and review work together, at up to 60% lower cost. - Oct 2026 post: 14,000 Citi engineers now use Devin, and Citi CEO Jane Fraser said in-sourcing cut vendor spend 30% YoY. His recurring framing: 'what would you do with an infinite army of software engineers?'Oct 20, 202614,000 Citi engineers now use Devin. On the Q3 call, Citi CEO Jane Fraser said Devin is making in-house work far more efficient, and that in-sourcing has cut vendor spend 30% YoY, with a long way to run. For engineering leaders, the math has changed. Work that used to default to a vendor is now a candidate for your team to own. Everything is in scope with Devin. Proud to see what Citi’s technology teams are accomplishing. The question is now: what would you do with an infinite army of software engineers?
- Promoted Cognition's AI Productivity Guarantee: if Devin delivers less engineering value than the customer pays, Cognition funds usage until it does, up to $10M.Jun 4, 2026Today Cognition is introducing the 𝐀𝐈 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞. If Devin delivers less engineering value than you're paying for, we fund your usage until it does. 𝐔𝐩 𝐭𝐨 $𝟏𝟎𝐌. Every exec is wondering what is AI actually producing for their business. AI spend is up. Eng velocity feels faster. But when the board asks what the ROI actually is, the answer is tokens consumed or lines of code generated. The harder question: how do you isolate what AI produced versus everything else your team was already doing? We've been thinking hard about this at Cognition. So we built an estimator that measures productive engineering output from Devin, validated against how long engineers said the same work would have taken by hand. And we're confident enough in what we found to back it with a guarantee. This is what accountability looks like when you believe what you're selling. AI needs to earn its keep. We're starting by guaranteeing ours does. Link in the comments.

What a week. Feeling fired up after RAISE Summit 2026. Cognition was headline sponsor at the Louvre. 9k+ attendees. VIP dinner at The Palace of Versailles. Our biggest brand moment in Europe to date. The Cog AI Lounge ran both days with live Devin demos, Aston Martin Aramco F1 car parked in the middle of it. Scott Wu took the main stage to talk about where AI coding agents are headed. Then spent the rest of the week in exec meetings and dinners with the people building the next generation of engineering orgs. Best part of the week: watching our customers and partners, Mercedes-Benz, Snyk, Aston Martin F1, Ferrovial, take the stage themselves to talk about what they're shipping with Devin. The shift from AI as copilot to AI as autonomous engineer is already in production at some of the largest companies in the world. Top question all week: what would you do with an infinite army of engineers? Major props to our Marketing (s/o Zach Diamond, Nicole Zuuring, Carolina Barberii, Mariko Funai, Justine T.) and Forward-Deployed Engineering (s/o Arjun Mishra, Eashan Sinha, Roshan Fernando, Harrison Reeves) teams who put this together, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello. If you want to help build what's next in software engineering, we're hiring for all roles across every team. Reach out. Onward.
I'll be at RAISE Summit 2026 in Paris next week (July 8-9 at the Louvre) with Cognition. We're proud to be headline sponsors. A few things to highlight if you're attending: Scott Wu is keynoting the mainstage on the 8th -- come hear him on the future of software engineering and where AI coding agents are heading. We'll have our AI Lounge open all week with live Devin demos. If you're evaluating agentic coding at enterprise scale, come find us. We'll also have our Aston Martin Aramco F1 show car on the floor -- a partnership we're fired up about. If you're going to be in Paris, drop me a note. See you there.
Very excited to share the news about Grafana Labs $220M Series C led by Sequoia Capital and Coatue Management ... We are hiring everywhere for every role. Reach out if you're interested.
